Mechanics, An Overview

Quick analyses...

Co-op gaming
This mechanic is a form of multi-player mode distinct in that it allows two or more players to work together towards a common goal instead of trying to beat one another towards it. Playing simultaneously allows the players to strategise and utilise their environment in more detailed and elaborate ways, creating a more immersive and thought-provoking game state, and making the game more sociable and enjoyable.

Forced Constant Motion
This mechanic is used to create a more exciting atmosphere it causes a rise in tension as the player must keep continuing with a break in concentration if they are to succeed.

Shooter
Shooting is a common mechanic most often used to eliminate enemies and progress without dying. This mechanic combines timing with accuracy to test a players skills. Though this is a vast generalisation, I will go in more detail later on.
